Crispy smoked chicken wings are not only a game day staple but are delicious enough to cook up anytime. To get all that smoky flavor AND crispy wings, you should try cooking your chicken wings on a pellet grill.
With just a few ingredients and simple instructions, you’ll have perfectly smoked chicken wings in no time!
How long does it take to smoke chicken wings on a pellet grill?
I recommend smoking chicken wings at 300°F until they reach an internal temperature of 170°F. That typically takes around 30 minutes. But don’t just wing it! Use a digital meat thermometer to ensure your chicken wings reach a safe internal temperature.
What pellet blend is best for smoking chicken wings on a pellet grill?
The best hardwood BBQ pellet blend for smoking chicken wings depends on the level of smoky flavor you want. If you’re looking for a stronger, bold smoky flavor, you should use a pellet blend with hickory or mesquite. If you want the dry rub or sauce to be the star of the show, I recommend using a fruitwood blend to complement the wings without overpowering the flavor.
